CROWNE PLAZA

We had a very enjoyable stay at Crowne Plaza Auckland as a family, booking two interconnecting rooms which worked perfectly for us. The hotel is very centrally located, with Queen Street, restaurants, cafés and plenty of other eateries all within easy walking distance. It made getting around central Auckland very straightforward without needing the car. Our rooms were clean, tidy and comfortable, and having the interconnecting rooms was particularly convenient travelling as a family. Breakfast was included with our stay. It was busy, but there was a good selection of food, everything was well stocked and the breakfast service was well managed. Overall, a comfortable and convenient stay in a great central location. We would happily stay again and would recommend it, particularly for families wanting to be within walking distance of central Auckland.

The hotel is located in Auckland CBD, so super central across from the Auckland Skytower. The rooms are renovated and are immediately appealing. Beds fantastic, breakfast rich, and the lounge on the 28th floor wins you over with the wonderful view over Albert Street to the water. The food in the evening in the lounge is of high quality and, with lamb chops among other things, is in my eyes better than in other lounges. The reception and the staff in general were very friendly and helpful to us. For us, a strong recommendation for Auckland.

We stayed here twice in the run up to Christmas. The hotel is very well run with good attention to service through from check in to breakfast team and cleaners in the room. However the real jewel in the crown for this hotel is Gemma in the club lounge. Gemma is engaging, sassy and vivacious and provides an amazing service mixed with great laughs. She really made our holiday and we really enjoyed the evenings watching the sun set and the banter. A real gem that will go a long way in hospitality.
