Grand Chancellor Airport

Had our flight cancelled so our overnight accommodation was provided. Pleasant surprise. Very eclectic decor. Restaurant food was delicious with an Indian flare. Large buffet breakfast with lots of choice. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

I stayed here one night due to flight cancellations to Wellington. It was a welcome respite to lay my head down after 27 hr long haul flight and 11 hr wait at Auckland domestic terminal. The room was very spacious and well appointed and special little touches such as Antipodes bath and body products, Nespresso machine and a bath robe as I only had the clothes on my back. Room was very clean and there is a shuttle that runs regularly to take to and from airport. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I didn’t eat but I saw a menu board with some very reasonable priced bar snacks that looked very nice. I don’t get to use any facilities as I was there from 5pm to 530am. Only fault I could find is that when I arrived I wanted to go to sleep right away and there was a garden right outside my ground floor with a very loud rugby team of at least 30 people yelling while practicing. Also as a single solo female traveler I did not like having a room that is on the ground floor with door that leads right outside.

The bar restaurant stuff were just chatting away loudly and they don’t seem to be interested in serving.The tall Caucasian girl is just too arrogant to even acknowledge your presence.
