Best Western Great South Rd Motor Lodge

Rooms were nice and clean and comfy, quite spacious. I was surprised we had 2 bathrooms. 1 downstairs with the double bed and kitchenette and another full bathroom upstairs with 2 single beds. That was really helpful. The road was quite noisy at night with sirens and cars racing past. We were woken by a fire alarm at 7.30am from what I presume may have been someone burning their toast. The buffet breakfast was nice but not as big of a selection of food as other buffets we’ve been to in Auckland. Lots of parking and really close walk to the Remuera train station which was awesome for catching the train to Go Media stadium

Really enjoyed our stay in Block D. Short walk to Newmarket or catch the 70 bus. The buffet breakfast was a hit and reasonably priced at $20. Service and hospitality were top notch. Definitely recommend.

I stayed at the Best Western in Newmarket Auckland. I have stayed at some quite grotty Motels previously in Auckland, however once I found the Best Western, this is the only Motel I now stay at and have done so for a few years now. Staff are always very friendly; the rooms are very clean and tidy; breakfast has a wide variety to choose from. If I require anything extra, e.g coffee of more hand towels, staff readily supply these. I strongly recommend this Motel to stay at whilst anyone is visiting Auckland, it is not only a lovely comfortable Motel, but also in a well-located area in Auckland, making it extremely easy access to many other areas and activities.
