Union Victoria Motel

Dirty dishes, heater was already on when we arrived. No fans so you either have to have the doors and windows open 24/7 or basically sleep in a sauna. Pantry door fell off onto my mum's foot. Bed bugs, cockroaches and other insects call the rooms home. Pools were locked off. No one at front office. Had to call then wait an additional 15 minutes to check in. Upon check out the manager was blasting us for the pantry door that fell onto my mum's foot, my grandparents also booked a seperate room to us and he said that they had stolen stuff and had brought the bugs in the room with them. The manager called the owner because we were very disappointed with their health standard and it resulted in him saying if there's no red mark on my mum's foot then that means the kids broke the door. He then started yelling at my dad and grandparents saying he will call the cops. Would not recommend worst experience ever.

when we arrive the property at 2 pm we entered the property and the room smelled really very bad sweating smell when we smell the beddings it smelled really very bad , when we tried talking to the worker there he introduced us the owner , when the owner arrived we asked him to smell the beddings, he said that's not bothering him we said ok if that's okay for you, can you please refund the money this was happening within 15 mins of our arrival, once we started asking the refund he started using f.. word and then we started talking to him, later he said us to get out of the property and threaten us that he will call the police, and he went away, then my wife went back to him and explained that we had kids and to at least change the bedding cover then he came with new bedding cover and changed it and smells remains same no other changes, after that when we went out and came back there is no parking slot is allotted for us and during night time around 1ish the neighbours were keeping talking very loud and we and our kids were unable to sleep ,and they never mentioned that emergency housing people staying in there, even though it says smoke free zone and all the people smokes everywhere and they didn't provide us any blankets and it was raining outside and it was very cold , they didn't give access for the heater and we were shivering whole night and there were no proper customer service to contact them, and the bedding had some kinds of insects .... never ever go there only waste of money .

Great location close to everything! No remote but that was sorted fast, lack of cooking utensils which I'm sure if we had asked we would of received, the Māori lady in charge was amazing and very helpful! No swimming pool or mineral pools available to use which was a shame as this would bring a huge appeal to us restaying would also add extra blanket and pillows in the wardrobe but apart from that the motel room was clean and tidy so close to everything and again the lady in charge was fantastic!
