What an amazing hotel experience, honestly! Starting from the location in front of the Haigs park (beautiful to go for a sunset walk!), to the outstanding service, the spacious rooms, the amazing dining at 50 Bistro, and even the gym facilities which I enjoyed using during my stay. Everything is 10/10 and I can't find any flaws! Our best hotel experience in New Zealand!

We recently enjoyed a 4-night stay at The George Hotel Christchurch in a premium executive room, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. Our room was spacious, very comfortable, and beautifully quiet, with a lovely view over the gardens. The bed and pillows were spot on, and the bathroom was a real bonus in winter, with heated towel rails and underfloor tiles adding extra comfort. Room 114 on the ground floor was especially peaceful, which made for a very relaxing stay. A thoughtful touch was the teddy bear waiting on the bed when we arrived, which we were able to take home. Breakfast was also very good, with a continental option that suited us perfectly, while a full breakfast was available and clearly popular with other guests. The hotel’s location is another highlight, with magnificent parkland just across the road and an easy, pleasant walk into town. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Every member of staff we encountered was exceptionally friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made a big difference to our stay. Overall, The George Hotel Christchurch is a superb hotel and one we would happily recommend.
