Grasmere proved everything and more of what we anticipated before our arrival. The staff are great, the food is World Class and the suite was sumptuous and comfortable. This professionally run Kiwi High Country Lodge provides an experience that is hard to beat - a luxury experience that retains all the elements of Kiwi authenticity located in a region packed with outdoor adventures, trails and views. Walking and biking trails are close by catering for all fitness levels. Travel west 30 minutes brings you to Arthurs Pass and the same distance east to the amazing Castle Hill Limestone Outcrops and Cave system. And the whole area is a photographers dream - mountain and valley vistas, stunning lakes and amazing waterfalls all within easy reach of the lodge. We enjoyed our stay at Grasmere Lodge so much we'd to love to return - maybe one day!! Kevin Prince Photography

We called here for lunch after our visit to Arthur's Pass. What a beautiful lodge in a spectacular setting. The owner was so friendly, explaining what each dish was and each of the dishes was absolutely delicious. Perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. The grounds are spectacular and would be perfect for a wedding venue. I would highly recommend calling in here if you are in the area.

Had lunch here today. Food was amazing great quality and good price. Even got a doggy bag as couldn't eat all mine. Alot of it is locally grown fruit and vegetables. They bake/make everything on site ie tarts, icecream etc. Great staff
