Beachcomber Motel

When I drove past the motel appearances were that I had booked us into a dump. The entrance was unkempt, and it looked a little run down. While the decor and the buildings could've done with a spruce up, the unit was large, comfortable, clean and well appointed. Having a lazy boy recliner was an added bonus. Shower was great, bed was the best I've slept in on this trip (12 days). Quiet, peaceful, despite being on the main road. Will certainly return next time we are down that way.

Beachcomber Motel is an older motel. They offer under cover parking for cars or off street parking. The units are in need of a major refurbish being of 1970's style. The mirror is behind you when at the hands basin, the door locks by key from both inside and out. A small balcony for each room with table and chairs. Wonderful views of the mountains. free wifi. It is 2 kilometers from the main st of Kaikoura

This motel is close to all the wonders people love about the area - whales, seals, dolphins, walking and your pets are welcome too. Free parking and there is under-cover parking as well. Supermarket nearby and I have been advised that bit by bit the owner will be doing a make-over. I go on holiday to get to know the area I am visiting so mostly I am out and about. Here was no exception and Kaikoura is a wonderful place for wildlife experiences of all kinds. I love the vistas available on the walks and if you love a great plate of lobster; this is the town to savoir such delights. Get your mates together and go and have the time of your life.
