Godley Tekapo

One of the worst experiences we have had at a hotel, do not stay here!! We will be avoiding the Godley hotel in the future even if it means missing out on Tekapo

So pleasantly surprised. The staff are so warm and friendly from reception to the bubbly bar staff at jack rabbit. I had breakfast twice at Jack Rabbit and both times so delicious. I travel alot and stay in many hotels only home for 5 days a month. You should give godley hotel a go it's great

The room was clean and had a view of the lake. The bed was comfortable. While the hotel is basic, I don't think it deserves the reviews it has received. It is a good, clean, comfortable stay. The price is more than I would expect in the city because it is in the middle of the South Island in a Dark Sky area, which adds costs.
