Hermitage Aoraki Mount Cook

Felt like a small step back in time style ski lodge. Rooms provided beds and private bathrooms. Communal kitchen provided with everything you would need. Water temps in shower were very hit and miss. Fairly priced for location and what we provided. Rooms also provided tea, coffee and hot chocolate.

Good location and our room had stunning views of Mount Cook and parking was 10 paces from our room. Room was clean and tidy if a little small and had twin beds which was not a problem. Apart from tea and coffee making facilities there was little else apart from a communal kitchen in a space above us. Not an issue as we ate at the main resort hotel. Would highly recommend

The room itself was small and basic. But what the booking information did not mention is that there is a large lounge with full kitchen available to all guests. Although there are multiple eating options in the village, it would definitely be possible to save money by cooking all your own food while staying here. Service was friendly and effective. Sound insulation just ok but sleep quality was fine.
