Greenhill lodge is magical. It’s the kind of place you’d see in a movie and say wow, where is that place. I’m not really a B&B person but I loved it. Charlotte and Steve are very nice, sweet, and charming and great hosts. The home is beautiful and comfortable. Unlike most bed-and-breakfast, the building is horizontal, not vertical so there’s more space between common and private areas and no one above us. Our room opened to a terrace which we loved. The bed was comfy, the bathroom updated and had heated flooring. Their dinners were fantastic. The grounds are expansive and have amazing views of the country side. The drive to restaurants etc was short and worth it - Ari for dinner. Thank you Charlotte and Steve and we hope to be back longer. share a wall with anyone.

A real gem. Charlotte and Stephen made us feel most welcome. Our room was comfortable and the whole place was beautifully presented and conducive to relaxing. Excellent dinner and amazing breakfast. We’d definitely come back

This gorgeous place made us feel like we were living in the Gilded Age, when it was built. We did absolutely nothing the full day that we were there (two nights), even cancelling a planned excursion, as we didn't want to leave, just hung out in the sun and on the veranda and actually dipped in the pool (they said we were the first that season). There is also a hot tub. And heated bathroom floors! The hosts, Charlotte & Stephen, were warm and welcoming (the 3 of us had the whole place to ourselves), and the food was superb. We even left with lots of delicious avocado toast for our lunch the third day - couldn't eat it all at breakfast. Georgie, one of the 3 cats, adopted me, and I had a much-needed "cat fix." I also had a billiards lesson from my friend after dinner in the beautiful 1910 billiards room. A definite highlight of a 17-day trip around North Island.
