We paid $295.00 per night for 2. Nights in a standard queen room. AtRiverside Hotel BlenheimFor this we got a very small room with just std queen bed a small electric kettle shower above bath. We feel this was very over priced even on A busy weekend. We stayed at other motels around the South Island and the most we paid was $180.00. And all these motels
Were bigger and had far better facilities. I would not recommend Riverside Hotel

Stayed here for 8 nights. We loved our stay there. Was good to have a single base in Blenheim that was comfortable and welcoming. All the reception staff were awesome, super helpful and very friendly. Special thanks to John for assisting me after a fall. A lovely caring person. I'm so sorry I can't think of the name of the other reception person we met a few times, but he was wonderful and kind as well. Thankyou both for make our stay so welcoming and enjoyable.
We booked a Superior King room. Our room was spacious and the bed was so comfortable. Room was lovely and clean. The bathroom looked like its due for a bit of an update, but the shower was nice and hot and everything was clean here too. Cleaners came daily and kept the room well stocked and tidy. We were offered a free upgrade to the new Executive Rooms which looked amazing, but they all have Queen beds so if you don't mind that then I would jump at the offer. For us the King bed was more important. Went to the in-house restaurant Sasa. Food was very good and reasonably priced. A nice treat was there was quite often free muffins on offer at reception which were very good. Something we looked out for morning tea.
Swimming pool was very good but as we didn't get the very hot weather it could have done with a bit more heating for us oldies who prefer the water a bit warmer.
Carpark could get full in the evenings as I think people visiting the Restaurant would park in the Hotels carpark instead of behind the hotel. Otherwise, there was enough carparks for all the rooms. All in all, very good value for money and I would definitely stay there again when we visit again.

Nice place, manager kindly upgraded our room for no extra charge as my partner has mobility issues and originally we were at the furthest spot from the car park/reception.
The staff were lovely and very helpful.
Pool is average sized but quite nice. Was expecting it to be heated based on the sign outside and other reviews, but it was not heated.
Room was fine, bed was nice and we slept well. But the room looked out onto a courtyard where other people have access to, so they can see right in.
The bathroom was sub par and felt outdated. The shower head had a strange spray to it, meaning that you didn't get wet if you were directly underneath it.
