There was Brown Water in the washroom. It seems like there were rodents on the roof as they made a lot of noise at the night.
Further to this, our room’s fire alarm went off at 4:30am and went on for around 2-3 minutes. To our surprise it was only us who got out as I think other rooms didn’t have guests or there alarms did not go off. It was very strange, upon contacting reception there was no response. No apologies if it was a mistake.
Nevertheless, the staff at the restaurant were nice and helpful.
The whole experience left us more tiring than relaxed.

We were friends on a golfing trip. We were advised JUST prior to our trip that the course was under renovation. Being the time of year assumed Green core and sanding. Not ideal but happens. How wrong. The whole course is in a very bad state of disrepair. It did not happen overnight The greens are a disgrace. The bunkers that are not filled with weeds are like concrete and the fairways are dry and short on grass in a lot of areas. The layout is excellent but NOt what you would expect on a lux golf course and stay. The staff are very nice and efficient the villas are good but a little sad from age. The main area restaurant and bar etc lack attention. Gardens dry and SoSo Cobwebs everywhere etc. Lack of attention ( Money). Sadly the golf experience is way below par and it would be a Hugh surprise if it is fixed quickly if at all. The price point indicates at least Mid- point to lower Lux Course. I would rate at the very lowest end of Public Municipal Courses.
Advise of Condition way to late and Not an Honest Report.

A beautiful spot of earth with wonderful views, golf course with great design, charming buildings in Old English bath architecture style.
Unfortunately, it is also the golf course with the worst state of care of all 450 different courses we have played so far.
The greens weren't just bad underground. Some were virtually nonexistent. In some cases there were 5 mm troughs next to each grass tuft.
We were grateful to the manager who let us start at lane 10, so we had finished the lap after 2.5 hours.
On 20-30% of the golf course it smelled pathetically of crap. We had a nice big room, but a cheaper toilet – seat we never saw.
Breakfast was okay, however, again there are no specialist staff. Words like welcome or pleasure were foreign. The second cup of coffee had to be paid extra, as did the OJ. When you walk into the restaurant, you don't want to see feud and wiper right next to the entrance. The tablecloth at the next table was no longer completely clean. Instead of putting on a fresh one for the new guests, a rag was taken from the kitchen and the tablecloth was also wiped back and forth.
The winetasting was o.k. The view top again. The antipasti average.
