This accommodation is also known as Absolute Riverside B&B. It can be found just outside Turangi. In a private rural setting, next to a trout fishing river that flows right past the property. Maryke Wilson’s extremely comfortable B&B has one large spacious bedroom, large bathroom, indoor and outdoor seating, tv, wifi, aircon etc.... During our 3 night stay I would rate the bed as the most comfortable we have slept in while traveling NZ for the past 3 weeks and the shower easily the best water pressure. Maryke is a extremely generous host, supplying us with a superb breakfast each morning. We loved our time with her and in many ways our interaction with Maryke made our stay so much more memorable and enjoyable. Also love Rosie and Spottie🐶 The accommodation is an easy walk into Turangi, about a 20min drive to the end point of the Tongariro crossing and 45 min drive to National Park Village. Maryke years of being a guide, fishing and tourism experience of the district was invaluable. We found the accommodation to be so central to everything in the district. Including when we climbed Mt Ruapehu and met our guides at the National Park Village. Nearby are the hot pools, Lakeland restaurant and a New World supermarket at Turangi. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this Bed and Breakfast. Great value for money.

Maryke and Rosie welcomed us into their riverside home with lovely gardening and natural surroundings. She (Maryke not Rosie) even had a Canadian flag up the flagpole as we arrived. Breakfasts were ample and delicious and after dinner we shared wine and interesting chats with Maryke about her travels. She drew out tracks for us to take up down the Tongariro River and had information on area activities. Altogether a wonderful stay.

This was the best place we stayed at New Zealand. Maryka is the most wonderful and helpful hostess. She made us feel welcomed and gave us a feeling of home away from home. She even provided my husband who is vegan with a great variety for breakfast. The room was wonderful and had everything we needed. Maryka assisted us with everything we needed in order to arrange for the Tongeriro Alpine Crossing track. Highly recommended place to stay in!
