High Peaks Hotel

OMG - This Hotel was said to be a 4 star Hotel - I don't think so. I felt strongly enough about our stay - that I had to write a review. We pulled up to this Hotel and even the outside looked like we were arriving at "Schitts Creek." Untidy on the outside, debatable on the inside. This Hotel is rundown. We had a kitchenette in our room, however had to ask for a Tea towel and dishcloth. The staff didn't understand what we were talking about. Delivered a Tea towel in the end, but it was grey looking, so we felt that we could not even use that. Then the TV would not go. Had to get someone in to fix it - just not good enough for what we paid for room..... This was the start of a rather large road trip for a bunch of Kiwis - so clearly the bar was very low set on this Hotel. The booking email that we received stated that there was a restaurant available next door. We soon found out that the Restaurant had been closed for a number of years, but there was a Toaster & Microwave that had been positioned on the balcony by the Restaurant. Soon found out it was safety issue.... as had been sitting in the weather for quite some time. Upon leaving this so-called Hotel - we noticed a sign regarding helping the staff out by "stripping the beds before you go" - Well I never - and will never as this is what you pay for when booking accommodation. My advise to the owners of this so called Hotel - clean it up! Or close it down until you have.

This accommodation is not a Hotel. Absolutely below par . Paid $165...for what....it was like being at The Bates Motel..... backward... dirty cupboards, no dishwashing liquid, no tea towels, no dish cloths.... however lots of moths. The floor smelt like shakavac was used.... nostrils still recovering. The Yard looked messy.....shocking all round.

Terrible motel on booking dot com they have not updated it there is no restaurant there is no bloody tv !!! The poor girl at front desk said she has asked the owners to fix the actual and they refuse it’s run down unkempt , do not stay here absolute rip off
