BEST WESTERN HOMEVILLE

'Booked this hotel on account of the Best Western label where I have a Gold Card and lodged in their other facilities in Europe and USA. It was disappointing getting there to realize the BW tag had been yanked off and now just ''Homeville hotel'' (see photos), obviously accreditation issues. Firstly the location isn't too good from the airport. The roads leading to the hotel were quite bumpy and rough. The rooms are spacious and comfortable assuring good sleep quality. However illumination was quite poor as one couldn't read with comfort with all the lights turned on including the table lamp! Oh, the drainage water from the air-conditioning kept leaking on to the floor all night. The swimming pool was well kept but the gym was locked up. The meals were comparatively pricey. A fair hotel but needs closer attention to details.

I stayed at this hotel for 3 weeks .It has a feel that it had seen better days not in terms of facilities which were just okay ,but customer service and general expectations from the Best Western brand. The rooms are okay (ask for the newly renovated wing ) The buffet after 4 days became monotonous and the chef didn’t cater for different palette especially as regards seasoning. The hotel has a good gym with equipments but as most things in this hotel needs upgrading (some of the machines were bad )and a dedicated gym trainer.A plus for the hotel is the pool one of the best I have seen in Benin ,large enough and well maintained. The housekeeping staff were another matter ,they need training thorough cleaning and decorum.There is a general need for customer service training across board. Also little things like air conditioned hallways were missing.Overall I would say very average but for hotels in Benin its probably second best after Protea . Quick tip ask for the non smoking section .Thank me later 😉
