Cochs Pensjonat

I tend to return to this place, as it is smack dab in the middle of everything in Oslo, and reasonably priced. Not cheap, just reasonable. The rooms are clean, staff friendly and I cannot really fault them on anything.

After very good customer experience last time I stayed here I decided to try again but this time with my two teenage children. The hotel was very full but experienced that they did their best to get room for us. We got assigned the last 4 pers room. Externally, the hotel looks very decent. It’s almost as if it’s always been here. Internal style is not modern but retains the charm of the past. Our trip down there was both delayed once and twice but the hotel adapted everything accordingly. The staff is very friendly and customer care is obviously one of the main priorities of the hotel. The room was bright, clean and large with a medium balcony facing the park road. The room had a fridge and a small kitchenette. There was a smaller TV on the wall. WIFI available and password was given at the reception. Experienced the network as fast and stable however without security solutions so here one should think for yourself. Traffic noisy in the day as expected but if you closed the inner windows then you heard almost nothing. Cochs Pension gives you a lot for the money in my eyes. Nice and clean rooms with clean shower facilities in the room. Kitchenette, WIFI that is stable (missing in most others). Nice staff and highly competitive customer treatment. Our experience is that maybe it should have had one or two stars higher in the guides. Located very centrally to with Macdonalds on the ground floor, 7eleven and Joker across the street so say, Slottsparken 10 meters away, tram and bus right outside. There is also a nice café on the 1st floor where you get breakfast with discount as a hotel guest, as breakfast is not included in the stay. Three bar/restaurants in 10 meters perimeter. This is definitely the family's new tribal hotel during Oslo Visit. Highly recommended.

Excellent experience all the way! Such nice staff with a great location. The room was nice clean and spacious too! Very good breakfast you can eat at the cafe right next to the hotel where you get a good discount on lots of good food when you are a guest! Excellent!
