Gaustad Hotel

Sadly I had to stay there when it is the paitient hotel for Rikshospitalet.Rooms are poorly cleaned. A lot if noice,staff have no idea how to do their jobs except a few iof the girls in reception The food is terrible and the temperature «hot food» is served with can not be even close to legal.As a transplant paitient you are told to be careful with reheated food,not easy when you get a lot of it here.Most of the time it is closer to cold I have been told that there have been complaints before,but nothing have happened. Can’t wait to be sendt home

Very poor cleaning of the rooms. Very bad food. Some of the staff in the reception are grumpy. Much noice in the corridore when the staff is cleaning the rooms. You hear everything they talk about outside the room. I hope i dont need to use this hotel one more time.

Gaustad Hotel is located on Ring2 – north of Oslo Center. Very easy access by car or street car (tram) to Bislet Stadium and Oslo Center. Right next to the Hospital Rikshospitalet it gives discount to people that are related to patients of the Hospital. The rooms are rather small, but nice and modern. The reception and restaurant was remodeled the winter of 2019 and 2020 Breakfast is good, full Norwegian with a variety of eggs and what you expect to find at a breakfast table. We have stayed overnight here many times because it has a good location for us and a fair price. We have tried to improve their egg-boiling-skills for several years, but they still boil their eggs so you cant peal them without ruining them. Parking is a 3 min walk from the reception and costly like all parking in Oslo. Beds are OK and the rooms are clean 
