Scandic Ornen

Only stayed one night (between cruise ship sailings), have stayed here before so chose for it's central location and good breakfast. Quick and easy check-in. Our room overlooked the Thon Senter and was quiet once the traffic had settled. Large room, all amenities you would expect but no safe. Breakfast was very good.

We stayed four days. Upon check-in, we asked for the room to be cleaned every day since we had two little girls, but they didn't come to clean even once. Truly shameful. We wrote to the manager, who told us that we had to arrange for housekeeping, but in reality, we had already been lured to check-in. Instead of apologizing, he practically accused us of negligence. Four days without ever changing the trash or changing the towels with two little girls. Truly shameful!!!

Stayed 2 nights. Good location for walking to the main sights in Bergen, Brygge, Fish Market, Florence etc. Rooms are small but adequate, with a kettle & coffe/tea provided but no milk; no safe though. Good shower. Food at breakfast and dinner both good with plenty of choice. Drinks very expensive, even by Norwegian standards.
