Solstrand Fjord

Can’t recommend this hotel enough! It was our first stop in Norway and only a short drive from Bergen and was a lovely relaxing start to our holiday after a hectic couple of days of travelling! The rooms were very nice with lovely views, but it was the spa facilities and gardens that were the show stoppers! And the half board option served in the evening was absolutely delicious - probably the nicest food we had during our whole trip to Norway! Don’t hesitate to book!

We had a very pleasant stay at the Solstrand Hotel and we were especially pleased with the food in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the room did not live up to expectations. We had booked rooms with fjord views, but the view was more limited than expected, and the room lacked amenities such as a small espresso machine or a kettle and tea. Given the price, we expected a slightly higher standard. The spa department was very nice, with great facilities and a relaxing atmosphere. At the same time it was quite busy during our stay and there were many children in the spa area.

Our stay at Solstrand Hotel was one of the highlights of our trip to Norway. From the moment we arrived, the customer service was absolutely outstanding. Every member of the staff was warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely focused on making our stay unforgettable. The level of hospitality was second to none, and we felt truly cared for throughout our visit. A special thanks to Sanja, Andre and Ilte for their hospitality. The spa is simply spectacular. Whether you’re looking to relax or recharge, Solstrand offers everything you could want. We loved moving between the indoor and outdoor pools, soaking in the hot tubs while taking in the breathtaking fjord views, and enjoying the saunas and peaceful relaxation areas. Every amenity was immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and created an atmosphere of total tranquility. The setting is breathtaking, with beautiful waterfront views and peaceful surroundings that make it easy to disconnect from the outside world. The entire property is impeccably maintained and exudes classic Norwegian charm mixed with luxury. If you’re looking for a place to unwind, experience exceptional hospitality, and enjoy one of the best spa experiences in Norway, Solstrand Hotel is an absolute must. We would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the Bergen area.
