Quality Hotel Residence

Hotel is graded as a 3-star hotel but I would say it's 3+. Positives: > Comfortable, clean, decent sized rooms, although very basic > Shower was good. Pressure and temperature. > Had tea, coffee facilities in room, and a fridge that worked well. > Excellent location right in the heart of Sandnes, across from shopping and 24 secure parking > Close to plenty of places to eat, or can deliver food > Friendly and helpful staff. > Polite attentive staff at breakfast constantly picking up used items and keeping everywhere tidy > Good breakfast buffet, with lots of variety. Good hot food. > Easy checkin and check out Negatives: > We had a room on the front of the hotel and the street was very noisy at night. Karaoke in the bar across the road, drunk people trying to sing until 01:30.....bring earplugs! > TV's were small and only had local scandinavian channels. No streaming services or ability to connect to phones unless by cable. Should consider upgrade. > Room did not have AC so image will be very hot in the middle of summer > Bed was not so sturdy so when one person moved the other was bounced around, so we kept waking each other up.

I stayed here for one night with my family. The room was spacious, which was very convenient and comfortable for us during our short stay. However, the hotel itself is quite old and could benefit from some upgrading and modernization. Overall, it was acceptable for a one-night family stay, especially because of the room size, but the property would feel much better with some renovations.

A lovely stay at the Residence Hotel in Sandnes. From the first moment we were greeted with an accommodation and service that really stands out. Here you feel seen and cared for, and that makes all the difference. The rooms were clean, nice and welcoming, and the hotel appears in general as very well-maintained and carried out. The location is also perfect – right in the centre, with a short distance to everything you need; shopping, restaurants and adventures. In addition, it is easy with both parking and charging options, making your stay extra convenient. A special thanks to Børge and the staff at the reception – professional, helpful and always friendly. And not least to the absolutely lovely people in the breakfast room, who really contributed to a warm and good start to the day. This is a place where both service and atmosphere fit. We will be more than happy to return – and warmly recommend the hotel.
