Thon Maritim

We stayed here in July for 2 nights in a junior suite. It was very large and nice. While we travelled Scandinavia we found Thon hotels are clean, comfortable, always have some dedicated gluten free breakfast items and have amazing front desk staff. Our suite was located on the second floor and there was a street there and you could hear what everyone walking was saying. Since it’s summer some people were walking around at 1 and 2 in the morning. If you are a light sleeper ask for a higher floor or the other side of the building. Breakfast was great, lots of options.

ME: Complaint and claim for compensation for inadequate hotel stay I hereby wish to lodge a formal complaint regarding my stay at Thon Hotel Maritim. During the entire stay the air conditioner did not work in the room. The temperature in the room was therefore very high, making it difficult to stay there and almost impossible to get a good night's sleep. The only way to get in cooler air was to open the window. However, the room was subjected to significant noise from the street outside, so this was also not a satisfactory solution. The result was a stay that in no way corresponded to the standard one can reasonably expect from a hotel of their quality. Lack of functioning air conditioning, combined with high room temperature and significant noise, resulted in a significant reduction in comfort and quality of stay. On this basis, I ask for a reasonable financial compensation. In my judgment, a compensation equal to 25–30% of the room price would be an appropriate solution, and I hope we can reach a friendly arrangement. I look forward to your immediate feedback.

I highly recommend the Maritim great hotel located in the centre of Stavanger great staff very helpful spacious room was clean and will definitely visit again
