Quality Sogndal

We were unfortunately disappointed with our stay. The family room on the 2nd floor was clearly old and worn, and the standard was not in proportion to the price. The cleanliness was also poor, and the bathroom was not modern and weary with impractical solutions. It was clear that parts of the hotel were upgraded, while our room was not. The staff was fine, but we experienced them as poorly serviced. Breakfast was quite simple – a pretty standard hotel breakfast. Parking was very expensive. Overall we don't think the stay provided good value for money.

🧭 Location: Easily accessible, located near the Sogndal crossroads. A few steps from the river. 🏢 Property: Modern property, even if some parts seem not yet completed in their finishes. Spacious room, modern furniture, impeccable cleanliness. Bathroom adequate for the level of the room. 🛎 Services: Buffet dinner: well-assorted, with a good variety of choices. Same for breakfast.

About a month after my trip to Norway, I received a bill from my rental car company for 999NOK (around $100USD) to pay for my parking at the hotel for my 2 night stay. This included the parking, vat tax and an administrative fee from hertz. During check in and check out of the hotel I was never given an option to pay it directly. Seems very excessive.
