Still great breakfast, that should Scandic Nidelven have. A wide selection in the breakfast buffet, with cold and hot dishes, lots of vegetables, fruits, freshly pressed juices, smoothies, kombucha, barista coffee and more options also for vegetarians. The room was completely OK, with a nice view to the "Blomsterbridge". Nice location, considering cafes and restaurants on the Solside. Carpets in corridors are worn out, and the hotel is ready for a renovation. I have one point of appeal; the bar prices are stiff, beyond the line of absurdity. 179 kroner for a half-litre with Brooklyn Lager is probably a Norwegian record. More expensive than at Gardermoen. If people want to be happy in a hotel, they should not feel that they are subjected to road robbery. Otherwise: friendly staff, good service, and a hotel I can use again. Mostly for breakfast.

Had paid for hotel and breakfast 2 rooms and paid for breakfast. Prepaid for everything but due to illness we did not arrive until the next morning. We are timely for breakfast but the service announces that we could not get it because they had sold our rooms once and in the meantime that we had not slept there could not get a breakfast we had paid For!

I was denied check-in by Tuva at the front desk. My wife had booked a hotel room and it was in her name. We have the same last name and are married. I came 30 minutes before her because she was busy. I showed ID, but she was absolutely determined that I shouldn't check in. My wife called then and she got to talk to her and finally after a lot about and but I got the room. Tuva you have a long way to go to teach you service. You must also learn not to suspect your guests. The hotel is very nice and everything else is good and I have stayed here countless times the last 20-25 years. They once had Norway's best breakfast. Talk about torpedoing our stay from the start Tuva... was terribly disappointed now.
