Moreno's Cottages

These people lied straight to my face, over and over again. I made an online booking for December 30th - January 1st. When we arrived the people at Moreno's Cottage said they had no reservation for me. That there was no record of my reservation. While clearing this up with my credit card the CC told me Moreno had overbooked and did not have a room for us. Moreno could have been honest with me and saved me hours of trying to contact my card for clarification and a refund. Moreno offered no assistance in the matter.

My family and I arrived there coz we had to cancel our previous booking since there was no water in that accomodation. We tried calling them but it says number is not correct, good thing we had a boracay map. When we arrived it was around 4pm already. We had 3 kids with us who were very tired. The one who greeted us did not know that we had a booking. The room was not big and it was a little bit dark since the light could not be turned on near the beds. There was some smell in the room and it was not that clean. I could see black ants walking up the wall while I was sleeping and also on our pillow. The only thing good is that they were able to accomodate us when we ask if we could heat up the food and leave our bags after 12noon check out time.

My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights from 29 December over new years eve. Although we had a cut price rate, due to good negotiation skills by my partner, I find the place lacking in service. On the back of the room door is a sign, reading... Rooms are only cleaned and towels replaced every four days. A charge is payable for additional cleaning and towels. In a beach location you can imagine the sand that comes in on your feet and the amount of times you would shower. The floor always felt wet and damp at night. The bed was satisfactory, the towels much the same but better if they were replaced daily. As a whole this is a good loction for budget minded people.
