Escondido Beach Resort

Came here back in 2006. This hotel was part of the PAL package and wanted something on the cheaper side. We loved our stay here. The staff were very nice and helpful. Breakfast was good and since it was not directly on the beach, it was quiet. Basic amenities. I guess you will like this place if you are budget conscious and not high maintenance.

The location is a block off the beach, which should make it better value, but it does not seem that way. We pre-booked this place with Agoda but found better places for less money on the beach. There is all new management since the spring of 2013, they say, so reviews from before then would not really apply. They are catering to Asian clientele. At the breakfast restaurant (amusingly named Ho Place), they do not ask anything about what you want, just bring you something, which was a bowl of spaghetti, not a normal thing for us. There are better choices on Boracay in this price range.

Worst hotel i ve seen for a long time and i m travelling a lot. a total dissapoint and lots of troubles This hotel is centrally located. thats it! everything else is horrific! - Hotel charged me PHP3500!!! for a missing towel. They did not want to return my passport unless i paid almost as much as i paid for the hotel room. they did not let me speak to the manager in order to escalate my dire situation. - Upon arrival the rooms very not prepared even after 14pm. - No telephone in the rooms! - Windows face hallway with transparent curtains. every person passing by can see into the rooms - They do not offer any drinks in the room nor roomservice - Breakfast included? Ha! we only got a instant coffee and the worst spaghetti bolognese i ever had in my life. zero choice. unfriendly staff. Absolutely ridiculous! agoda should take off this hotel !!
