I’m happy to share my experience at La Carmela de Boracay. The vacation exceeded all expectations and the hotel left a very positive impression overall 🌴. Breakfasts were included and, while simple, they were always tasty and filling. There were always lemonades, iced water, tea and coffee available. Every day there was watermelon, either red or yellow, which was especially refreshing in the heat 🍉. I was genuinely surprised by the low rating of this hotel online. The price–quality ratio here is excellent, and for this cost the conditions are more than decent. If you only look at the most expensive hotels, you may end up not traveling at all, and this place proves that a great vacation doesn’t have to be overpriced. The staff deserves special mention. They are extremely kind, friendly and hardworking. Always ready to help, always busy improving the hotel and the territory. All maintenance and improvements are done quietly and carefully. The atmosphere is very warm: staff greet you, smile, and sometimes even sing 🎶. The hotel is relatively new, the pool and territory are always clean, and the staff works around the clock. The location is one of the biggest advantages — right in the center of everything, close to all main развлечions, shops and restaurants. It can be a bit noisy at times because of the pool and kids, but nothing unbearable. The sea is beautiful 🌊. Sometimes there are seaweeds, but you can easily walk along the beach and find a clean spot. The sand is fine and soft, and if you want a “Maldives-like” view, it’s worth walking between Station 1 and Station 2. I also highly recommend the Japanese restaurant Hama and the coconut ice cream at Coco Mama 🥥🍦. Don’t miss trying fresh mangosteen and mango from the local market. There is also Save You More Market nearby, which is very convenient. This was one of those places you truly don’t want to leave. I recommend not listening to overly picky reviews. If you’re not looking for a 5-star luxury resort with fans waving over you, but want comfort, a great location and a friendly atmosphere, this hotel is an excellent choice for its price 👍.

It’s definitely budget-friendly, and the beachfront location is a big plus—perfect if you want to stay in Station 2 without spending too much.
But let’s talk about the old main building. It really needs some repairs. The windows are worn out, some bathroom tiles are dated, the safe box wasn’t reliable, and overall, the room felt tired.
I genuinely wondered—why is there no complimentary coffee, tea, toothbrush, or even lotion? These are basic hotel amenities, especially for travelers staying more than a night.
Food wasn't as great as before. Staff were okay and the hotel does its job if you’re just here to sleep and spend most of your time outside.
So yes, La Carmela is affordable and well-located—but if you’re looking for comfort or a refreshed room, manage your expectations.
