Cityscape Hotel

We arrived in Mandaue City very late at night from travels. We wanted just a clean place to stay with a decent shower and bed. To our surprise when we arrived in the hotel the lights in the entrance were not at all lit. It was a little dark even in some of its hallway. Perhaps they are saving energy or whatever. The building is not ideally located for relaxation. Lo and behold there were no towels face cloth or anything that we can use at all. We called the front desk and they just said “ we run out of towels” like what kind of hotel that runs out of towels? She added that they have old/spare towels if we are in dire need of one or two. So they brought these rags into a guest room. I was really appalled with the gross sight. So I brought this to the front desk to see if this is really happening. Without empathy or regards to the hospitality’s basic standard she just added that these are clean towels. I said I can not use them and can not take them with me. If you are to walk in the nearby curb you will see an open canal more like drainage that is dirty water from who knows where its from.

The room was affordable and comfy. we stayed 2 nights. its good thing they provided 3 beds for us. on our second day we cant connect the wifi even using the new password that was provided. but doesn't matter we can upload pics when we get home.

I was hoping to have a good stay in Mandaue at the Cityscape Hotel. Upon entering the hotel it extremely hot in the lobby. The lady behind the counter seemed very inexperienced as hotel clerk. Finally after several searches for my reservation. I was issued a room key. Upon getting on the elevator. There were wires hang at the wall near the elevator call button. When reaching my floor the doors opened. From the time I walked from the elevator to my door. There was stained carpet and cuts in the carpet. Opened the door and realized the room looked nothing like the photos on the website. The room was very hot. I went to the restroom. I used the facilities only to find there was no water in the toilet. Call the front desk. Someone came up to try to fix the toilet. He was unable to fix it. Ac was finally turned on but blew hot air. I asked to be moved to another room. But demanded next room be checked first. The maintenance man said the next room was ready. Just to be sure I checked the toilet and once again the toilet was not working. At that point I was ready to leave and seek another hotel.I ask for a refund but the clerk said the manager was off the Easter Holiday. Long story short I was refused a refund for horribly brief stay. Take your time when seeking for a hotel.
