Fuente Pension House

I don’t usually stay in hotels like Fuente Hotel de Cebu. But this time everything went sideways: I ended up in a place I hadn’t planned for, and stayed in hotels I wouldn’t normally choose. Turned out to be a fun experience. In short: it’s a budget hotel, and I probably wouldn’t stay here long term. But why 55 then? Well, for one, I stayed here twice. The first time, I was just looking for a place on the same day, walked in, asked to see a room — no problem, they showed me. Nothing fancy, but honest. I booked it and stayed. The room is simple, no frills. The aircon is loud — very loud. But honestly, that seems to be the Filipino standard. I didn’t find a quiet one anywhere, even in big chains. Now to the good parts. They gave me a quiet room, just as I asked. At check-in I got two coffee vouchers — small touch, but appreciated. Breakfast was good: tasty food, cozy vibe, and staff so genuinely friendly that it’s contagious. On my last day I checked out, stayed in their cafe till evening, drowned in coffee, and even managed to draft a note and a song. Super productive day. If I judged by strict logic, it would be a 3 out of 5. But for the atmosphere, value for money, food, and kindness of the people — it’s a solid 5 out of 5. Fuente isn’t about luxury, it’s about heart. And a bonus memory: for the first time ever, I went to the airport across the city in the rain on a motorbike with my luggage. Normally I’d take a car, but this time I wanted a bit of adventure. Still makes me smile. Bottom line: I remember Fuente Hotel de Cebu warmly, and I’d happily stay again.

The place has very clean rooms, hallways and accommodating staff. The room doors are equipped with security features as well as a lot of CCTV cameras are scattered everywhere in the pension house. There are no broken fixtures. Except for the unreliable cable TV, my stay was absolutely fine. The internet is also very reliable. The rates are also very reasonable.

Fuente Pension house is a nice place to stay. It very accessible to fuente rotonda where you can easily watch sinulog dance during their parade. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner. The staff are friendly and hospitable to every guest who stay.
