Malapascua Legend Water Sports and Resort

The location perfect. Right on the beach (room had view of sea). It’s a max 15 min walk from ferry terminal. Friendly relaxed atmosphere which stems from the family who own and work there right to the lovely staff. Our room was two double beds, decent bathroom, big balcony and small balcony at the front. Cleanliness good in room and restaurant. Lovely social bar area great for independent travellers. Pool table, swimming pool and beach tables all good. Pizzas - banging!! There’s a dive school attached and cannot recommend Rey and his team enough. Our son (15) qualified under Rey’s patient guidance. To be fair this island is idyllic and staying here was the best so much so we extended our stay.

I spent a week at the legend on a dive trip with frenchkiss divers. Overall I give a fairly average opinion, I had a room in the second row, you have to take a room pool side, much nicer! Cleanliness acceptable, Air conditioning quite noisy, breakfast bof bof but the staff is quite friendly and responsive. Overall, for the budget it is correct. A very good point for the beautiful pool

Excellent staff, including the owner Niegel and his companion, helpful and always available to help; already the hotel presents urgency in updating and maintenance of the rooms. Breakfast weak, room conditions also weak with an air conditioning that works but too noisy to spoil your sleep. The cleaning of the rooms is also not the best, not always every day, and the price paid is too much for what it offers. The diving center did not show capacity to handle a lot of people and has some flaws in relation to PADI standards. The nitrox analyzer didn't work (a friend took one.) and the boat is too slow in the face of a few dive spots, making the experience too uncomfortable.
