Ocean Vida Beach and Dive Resort

Nice and comfortable bed, friendly staff, good food in restaurant and nice sea view. Two misses: the restaurant / bar staff gave away our table on the beach so we had to move to the upper deck of the restaurant. The staff also forgot to relay our sandwich order to the kitchen before our early morning dive at Kimud Shoal. The kitchen made the sandwiches in time only because the departure was 15 mins delayed. The safe was broken so the staff gave us the safe key which was a good solution. Lots of late night singing next door during the Fluvial Festival.

We spent 3 nights in Malapascua and it felt short! We booked 2 nights at Ocean Vida and had to transfer to sister hotel because it was full for the 3rd night, so book far in advance! The personnel was very welcoming, food at restaurant was delicious and service slow enough to let you relax in vacation mode. Our room was garden level, in the back so we could hear the generator slighlty. The highlights is the great service provided by the local diving shop (Sea Explorer), which offered 5 star service with 5 star diving sites. Yes, you will see shark but do not miss the excursion to Gato Island which is fantastic. It's deadly early (5 am / 5:30 departure) but you can nap in the afternoon after the best dives of your life.

The Hotel Ocean Vida is very comfortable , we had a very nice room with sea view. We didn't find it too loud in the evening either. The bungalows at the back of the garden are also nice., but there the heat builds up. There was always a light wind out front. On the beach .there are cozy beanbags for the evening sun downer The restaurant can also be recommended. You can sit with your feet in the sand and here too the menu gives enough for a week. The food is fresh and very delicious. The staff were very accommodating. The Sea Explorers dive centre is located directly in the hotel complex. There were short distances..
