Tepanee Beach Resort

The Tepanee Beach Resort is a beautiful, small hotel complex right by the sea. We had a deluxe bungalow in the front row with a breathtaking view – truly a highlight of our stay. The amenities of the bungalow left nothing to be desired for us. We had already organized the transfer in advance through the hotel, which turned out to be a very good decision. The boat docks directly at the resort's beach, and the staff kindly takes care of bringing the luggage to the accommodation. The hotel has a small, well-maintained beach area with a cozy beach bar. There are also plenty of loungers available. Directly in front of the beach is a protected marine area where snorkeling is the only activity allowed. A supervisor ensures that the rules are followed. At the same time, there is also an area where one can swim normally in the sea. The breakfast was completely sufficient for us and offered everything needed for a successful start to the day. However, one should note that this is not a large all-inclusive resort. Practical to know: In Malapascua, there is now the option to withdraw cash with international cards. However, we cannot assess whether this works smoothly at all times, as we had enough cash with us. In the town itself, you can find many small stalls run by locals where you can buy everything necessary – including hygiene products or sunscreen. We had a wonderful time at the Tepanee Beach Resort and can recommend the hotel with a clear conscience.

We stayed one night at Tepanee Beach Resort. It is located on the southwest coast and about 150 meters from the port of Malapascua and souvenir shops. Welcome without more whether on arrival or departure. The wooded setting is very nice. The bungalows are charming, nicely decorated, cozy, spacious, clean and you will find your necessities (no TV but air conditioning and fridge). The balcony is very nice. The room with magnificent sea views is perfect and offers a total change of scenery. Small negative: the curtains are not very blackout and the floor and door creak. The restaurant is accessible via several steps (the resort is located on a small hill) from the reception below. It also offers a very nice view. We only had breakfast there. There wasn't much choice but it was good. You can have lunch indoors or outdoors. The beach is below and you will have to go down several steps. It is nice and has a bar. Private access to the sea for guests. Snorkelling is fabulous, a real aquarium with a variety of fish and corals. Remember to take your water shoes. Be careful, the hotel does not have a swimming pool but a small Jacuzzi. Small flat: I was bitten by a jellyfish and despite the giant hives visible, I was advised to put vinegar but without giving me any... it is certain that as a tourist, one always walks with vinegar in his suitcases! Rating of 4/5 because we had a great stay at this resort which is certainly one of the most beautiful on the island. However, the staff should be a little more attentive to their guests...

Fantastic resort. Cozy environment around bungalows, a lot of level differences but it enhances the coziness factor. Lovely beach hangout. Fantastic reef on the beach at the hotel where you also get to see sharks. Good snorkeling. The food is good. The rooms are nice, in wood which gives a natural feel. After the resorts we have seen, we would rank this top 3 on the island. If we go back to the island in the future, we choose this hotel again.
