The Charter House

This is a very well priced hotel in a very great location. I found it perfectly acceptable for the price. Its not 5 star but dosnt claim to be. The staff were great, i enjoyed the pool and view, my room was fine. The location is awesome. There is security on the door and staff on 24/7. I would return when next back in Manilla. Some top restaurants just a short walk away as is the mall and supermarkets for anything you might need.

After we absolutely didn't like it in the astoria plaza and we checked out there again, we checked in for the remaining days in manila in the charterhouse. The hotel was known to us from several previous visits. It is centrally located in makati greenbelt. Restaurant, malls etc. are in close proximity, even a church. Localities, such as ogada, intramuros, mall of asia, asia city are easily reached in about 30 minutes. Therefore.absolutely recommended for tourists. The hotel has a large and nicely equipped (chair, couch) lobby, with enough space for waiting guests. All staff are very friendly and accommodating. A.special thanks goes to the employee in the lobby who helped me with a lot of personal commitment to get my phone lost in the taxi back. Thanks again. Our room was inexpensive, clean and for a short break also spacious. Nothing was missing in the equipment. The bathroom consisted of a very large. walk-in shower. Very good for us as older people. The room was quiet too. There were new drinking water bottles every day. Hot water boilers and tea bags and coffee powder were available. Breakfast was included in the price. Unfortunately, no buffet. But you could put it together individually. The rooftop pool was clean and of the size sufficient with showers and changing rooms. Also lying and and tables were available. Drinks and food could be ordered via the house phone. For me, the hotel deserved 4 stars!

Stayed here for a couple of nights after visiting the islands in the Phillipines prior to a long flight home. This hotel is situated right opposite Greenbelt Mall 5. Greenbelt 5 leads to the other malls including The Landmark and Glorietta Malls. The malls contain gardens, a church, numerous restaurants and every type of shop possible. Hotel is in a great position. There is a small swimming pool on the roof. At present, a lot of building work is taking next door as they are building a further addition to the Greenbelt Malls. However, this didn't really disturb us as the aircon was louder than the demolition noise! I used ear plugs, might be a good idea for anyone else visiting too. Toiletries and slippers supplied. Lovely fluffy towels and comfy bed. Free breakfast, which had plenty to if choice. 7/11 store right next door if you need anything.
