The Southern Cross Hotel Manila

Gonesky! Closed up during Covid I reckon along with The Swagman around the cnr. Never really liked the place, especially having to walk through the bar with your lady to get to your room. Much better choices are The Duck Inn up the road & the Slouch hat across the street.

The hotel is safe and quiet. The whole place feels run-down and needs some maintenance. I liked that there were two beds and a sleeping mattress in the room. The shower turned off several times while showering and the sink didn't drain. The room smelled fine and had AC. There was a refrigerator!! Nice! The place needs a good cleaning.

Stayed 1 night, booked through TA, room with window 20 Pounds. All staff I met (reception, restaurant, security) all very welcoming and professional. No problems with room except a little dark so had to open curtains and use my phone flashlight to set security box located within cupboard!
