White Knight Hotel Intramuros

Amazing hotel, full of charm and character. Nice and central, if you are new to Manila it's a great first stop for walking about, becoming familiar with the area and manila culture. If you're a nerd like me you can really dig into the history, with Rizal etc. Hotels nice and clean, I left my belongings about all over my room. Nice and secure. Some rooms could do with updating in all honesty, new windows, new air con units. But staff are very helpful and if you're not happy with the room they are more than happy to move you. The hotel food is exceptional. I have a very weak stomach and allergies. I've never eaten so well and so comfortably. I've stayed here for three weeks if I wasn't on a mission to Baguio I'd stay here for the full three months of my holiday very happily. Umm.... Oooh there are guards everywhere. You'd think it would be intimidating if you weren't used to it. But they are really nice people and you genuinely feel more comfortable for them being there. Beware the tuktuk drivers to be honest. The hotel location means you can walk about just fine without being mugged off by an albeit desperate local. Don't be a tight arse, you can say no to tuktuks and still chuck'em some pesos etc. umm... Yeah that's about all I've got.

What a good idea to give a room facing the street, with the noise of vehicles, until 3 am, and of course, the cries and noises very early in the morning... In short, worst night at the hotel, next time ask for another room if you want to spend a best night.

I was happy here, some slight street noise but nothing to be concerned about. Five minute walk to Manila Cathedral and Plaza de Roma, as well as heaps of places to eat. To get there I used a Grab taxi (like Uber). It was under 500 pesos to get from the airport to the hotel.
