Island Front II

Islandfront Cottages was the cheapest of our stays, and when booking we were aware that the hotel was going through renovations. We believe we may have booked at the previous rates, but for what we paid, we were really happy with our stay. The service was excellent throughout. Nothing felt like too much trouble — we asked for a fridge for the room and it had been delivered before we had even finished breakfast. They also arranged our transfer to Port Barton, which was really helpful. The bed was the most comfortable of all our stays in the Philippines, with a brand new, very comfortable mattress. This was especially appreciated as we unfortunately fell ill while we were in El Nido. We stayed in a beach-access room and the view was incredible. The evening sunset views from the property were absolutely perfect and definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Our only point to note, which is not really a negative but more of a suggestion, is that the breakfast could perhaps be made a little simpler. For example, having clearly listed set breakfast options, such as set meal 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, with fruit, tea and coffee stated separately as unlimited extras, would make it easier to understand what is included. Overall, we felt this was a very good-value stay with excellent service, a beautiful view and a really comfortable room.

I was with some friends staying at Island Front Cottage last mọnth (January 2026). We loved the resort because it is right next to the beach. The restaurant was great. The employees were very nice, especially Ms Bhevz Bernal - the manager of the resort - who helped us a lot during our stay. However, the owner of this resort needs to fix the rooms as some of them were quite old. I would recommend this place for low budget travelers.

Sat and watched the sunset so decided to eat. First option not available so reordered. Second request not available so reordered. They served what they wanted from our requests. But when challenged the staff just lied as to what was ordered. Avoid this venue for food which was poor but great venue for sunst
