J-Lais Balai Turista Hotel

Together with my family, we stayed here last July 4-7. (We booked from a travel agency.) Everything in our tour was great! JLais Pension House made it more memorable. Place: The house is just along the city that you can reach the airport in just 5 mins, a mall across the street, different restos outside, and a local market 5 mins away (riding a tricycle) where we bought dangit. ☺ Room: Yes, it's kind of creepy at first as it looks old. But it is equipped with cabled TV, AC and shower. (We didn't get to use the shower as we are not instructed to operate it 😢) Also, it was clean and they did ask our permission in cleaning our room. Staffs: The staff were courteous and friendly. They also helped us with our laundry. Free ride to airport (vice versa) is a plus! Overall: it was a nice experience staying here for a short period of time. Though the house has some cons, the staffs and convenience compensated it. ☺

typical filipino bedroom, and average looking. free breakfast was served at the terrace. free wifi! the location is quite good since it is very close to the city restaurants. nice and accommodating staffs.

PROS: -Location (3 minutes walk to main street) -Free transfers -Free wifi CONS: -Some staff are not so accomodating. They lack courtesy. -No choice for breakfast. You eat what they serve. -One time the water is off! We were not able to shower. -Laundry service is bad. We were leaving that morning and our clothes were still a bit damp and still hanging outside. We took them ourselves because we were in hurry already. -One morning around 7:00am, they were playing loud -and I mean LOUD- music from the reception. I'm quite sure it woke up other guests. If you just need a place to sleep for few nights, then it is good enough for its price.
