Camayan Beach Resort

A very disappointing one night stay. Our room had no hot water, no hand towels, and the power went out three times. In fact, the power was out for half of our stay. The first time we called, maintenance arrived within a few minutes and fixed the issue. The second time, the power went out in the middle of the night, and we woke up hot and sweaty. They eventually fixed it. The third time we called the front desk to report the outage, maintenance never came, so we decided to check out early. This is completely unacceptable. On the positive side, the beach is decent, the staff very friendly and the Pina Coladas are excellent.

We're a family of 4 adults and stayed at Camayan for 4 days and 3 nights July 3-6. The beach was great; sand was fine and water was warm. The resort is charming but the grounds and structure need some work to make it more appealing. We especially like the short walk to the beach, reception, and restaurant from our rooms. Except for the day that we explored Subic, we ate all our meals at The Reef and the food was excellent. The service that we received from staff, from the time we checked in to the time we checked out, was exceptional. The staff at the Front Desk (special thanks to Amy), housekeeping, massage, and restaurants (shoutout to Edmer) were all very accommodating and worthy of praise. We had 2 suites with an excellent view of the water - both suites were very spacious but also very outdated, shower doors leaked, doors creaked and were hard to open/close, internet was spotty, room keys had to be recoded more than once, etc. However, the service was something we could not overlook and compensated for the outdated accommodations. We hope that Camayan will be renovated soon. We look forward to renovated accommodations at which time we will definitely be back with the rest of the family at the resort.

Camayan Beach Resort is a must go to place with your family and friends. Although the rooms are quite dated for the price it offers. Reynard from The Reef restaurant had given us amazing service throughout the night, attending to all of our needs.
