Polonia Hotel

In Krakow for business+vacation for 8 nights. Location is excellent, between the main Krakow train station and the Krakow city center. Easy 10 min walk once you arrive via train. The main tram stop is across the street as well, and you can safely access it via underground passage. So as you walk, you are never far from the hotel if needed. The hotel staff was very accommodating and helped me arrange taxi service upon checkout. Also the huge Galleria shopping area is adjacent to the hotel, if you forgot any items or looking for gifts. There is a description of the long hotel history on the wall near the elevator, and I appreciated how the staff maintained this unique architecture while also modernizing the hotel with new bathrooms and heating/AC in each room. The breakfast buffet was expansive and well crafted. I’d also recommend the Polonia restaurant in the hotel for dinner- the quality of their foods was equal or exceeded that of the restaurants in the city center, in a quieter and more formal setting.

Brilliant location about 10 min walk to main square passing lots of shops restaurants and bars on the way. Tram/ bus stop opposite and train station around the corner. Very clean and comfortable and very good breakfast. Loved the old fashioned charm. We had a room at the back. We could still hear the trams but it wasnt a problem but what was a slight problem was the loud talking from the garden below which seemed to be constant whenever we were in the room and with it being one of the hottest weeks of the year the windows were wide open.It seemed to be two individuals talking in Polish very loudly. Would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is located 5 minutes from the center and in front of a shopping mall. The rooms are spacious and clean but absolutely not suitable for spending more than a few days. There are too many noises that prevent a good rest. The nearby trams and the few blackout curtains let in a lot of light. The breakfast was poor, with little variety, especially in the sweet section. The restaurant is good.
