Czarny Kot (“Black Cat” in Polish) seems to have legal problems and there's some risk that they will be closed down soon. We discovered this through a taxi driver and later a Warsaw resident. You can google 'time up for black cat warsaw insider' for information. Czarny Kot has no elevator, so we had to lug our suitcases to the 4th floor. In this hotel, every room is eclectically different in size, shape, and furnishings. Apparently, from reviews, other people had great rooms. Our room was small and furnished with a few non-functional "antiques." There were no bedside stands, no closet to hang our clothes (only a coat/hat stand), and only one lamp on one side of the bed. A tiny round table was barely large enough for a small laptop, and there was only one chair in the room. The bathroom was tiny with no exhaust fan and no window; the bathtub had only a hand-held shower and no curtain. Only one towel per person was provided. The only electrical outlet in the bathroom was not by the mirror, but by the toilet. The uncomfortable double bed had a single-size duvet on it. The extra duvet found in the wardrobe had no cover. The bed frame was thick metal with corners sticking way out, but covered by the bedspread. The passages around the bed were very tight, and I bruised my shin very badly on the metal bed corner. The wifi worked fine, and the room was mostly clean. The breakfast was only OK by European standards. Other bonuses were the low price and free parking.

It is located just 2 minutes walk from Powazki Cementary so if you will be there you can see this amazing place with many famous Polish buried. 4 minutes walk to big shopping centre Arkadia and nice gym inside. Room was with big bath but I have felt there not comfortable to the end. It was not cozy. Breakfast was quite poor, Wifi bad connection and free parking. For this price average rating.
