Not a hotel I would use or recommend.
Contrary to what the name Hilton May/might suggest, this is actually a budget hotel on a par with Premier Inns. Overall, we found it very average for the £150 a night fee.
On arrival, we had to wait 90 minutes before we could access our room unless we paid an extra £20 ?
A couple of the staff on reception could do with a training course on customer service.
The air conditioning wouldn’t adjust, and because the window doesn’t open, the room felt uncomfortably stuffy. It was also quite small and lacked any extra amenities.
On the second day, the tea, coffee, and milk were not replenished. On the third day, we had no toilet roll or towel change. Each of these issues required a call to reception, which became frustrating.
The breakfast was very basic and usually cold ( for the hot breakfast)— the scrambled eggs were mainly inedible. On four of our nights, the bar was unstaffed around 50% of the time. The lone barman was constantly rushing around like a headless chicken, trying to deliver food and handle other tasks, which resulted in long waits for service.
Overall, it’s a very basic hotel in a reasonable location, but you’ll need to walk 10–15 minutes to the nearest bus, train, or tube station
