We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at this lovely hotel. The location overlooking the harbour was delightful, convenient for the little village, and good for sightseeing in the east of Sao Miguel. The staff were all friendly, welcoming, polite and helpful. Breakfast was great, drinks in the bar reasonably priced and the snack we had in the bar was superb value for money. WiFi was excellent and the water dispenser in reception was useful. Our room was a good size and storage was satisfactory. It was kept immaculately clean during our 3 night stay, however the beds were not the most comfortable and the bathroom was definitely in need of updating. The public areas were beautiful and we loved the stunning circular foyer and curving marble staircases up to the high glass 360 look-out!! Our only criticism of this lovely architecture was the issue with noise. Without soft furnishings the tiniest of noises in one area echoed around the entire hotel onto every landing and floor which, at times, we found quite disturbing. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
