Ocean Cliff Hotel (INATEL Flores Hotel)– Boqueirão Zone, 9970-390 Santa Cruz das Flores stay from 8 to 12 June 2026 By direct contact with hotel reservations, in February 2026 I and a friend booked a room with sea views, 2 twin beds and base shower for the period 6-12 June 2026 . Because the hotel informed us that all standard rooms had shower with bathtub except those for disabled persons, we accepted their offer - a room for disabled persons with all the features we intended including the base in the shower instead of the bathtub and the same price as the standard rooms. Due to the adverse weather conditions with cancellation of flights, we were only able to arrive at the hotel on the 8th day where we stayed until the 12th of June. The hotel did not charge us any amount for the 2 nights booked and unused. Arriving in the room that we were booked we verified that there was actually a shower base as requested, but other essential equipment such as towels, shower curtains or fan, etc. were missing or were broken. Immediately we asked to move to another room with a bathtub, but to have all the remaining equipment installed and working. Our request was not accepted. Any 1-star hotel has these equipment installed and running in the rooms it presents to guests, be they disabled or not. The Ocean Cliff Hotel has 3 stars and installs its guests in rooms with inadmissible gaps. List of room problems Toilet --The fan didn't work --Lamp over toilet and mirror broken; only lighted after we made on/off on the switch an indefinite number of times that ranged from 0 to more than 15 times --There was no support for toilet paper rolls; the rolls were placed on top of the toilet table, along with the soaps and shampoo In the whole toilet there was only a cabinet and a towel for 1 towel. Bath sheets and towels were hung around the toilet, in the support structure for the disabled -Piaçaba was placed under the toilet table, because next to the sanita were the Turks --Near the shower there was no support for gel and shampoo --Chuveiro had no protective shelter from water splashes; after the bath the toilet was a pond that could reach the room. --Garbage bucket had no lid - In the bedroom sleep The door from the room to the balcony required a lot of strength to run. We therefore did not have access to the balcony. - The refrigerator wasn't powered. Therefore could not be used - The TV was so placed in the furniture, that it covered the use of the only mirror in the room --Bed sheets prepared to be used by guests other than the one in bed, kept in the wardrobe at the place where the shoes are stored

The hotel is very central, the rooms were well maintained and in order. The balcony door was a bit hard to come by, but with the high humidity on the islands you have to expect such things Be sure to take a room with sea view. It's just a great view, at night you have to expect sounds of the breeding birds - but this is actually a very nice experience. Breakfast was really good for the Azores too. There was homemade yogurt, for example.

We stayed in this hotel only one night for a flight cancellation. The space is well in general, and it already deserved some improvements / maintenance especially in the rooms. The restaurant could go up a little level, the food is quite industrial. The view is fabulous!
