De Moura

This hotel occupies a very beautiful building, perfectly located in the centre of the charming provincial town of Moura, and is beautiful both outside with its tiled facade and inside with many original features and furnishings. It must have been a wonderful home in its previous life. We had a large, very comfortable room with wonderful high shuttered windows onto a side street (bathroom relatively small and not that well planned, but did the job). Reception are super-friendly and helpful. One star lost for absolutely rubbish wifi and a no-more-than adequate breakfast, albeit a lovely dining room. Definitely worth a stay and would go back (but please improve the wifi!). Don't miss the olive oil centre next door in the same square

We didn't have the best experience, the room wasn't well cleaned when we arrived and while we stayed (for example dirty glasses weren't taken from one day to another after the room was cleaned). Pillows and mattresses didn't allow us to rest properly and due to bad isolation, light (seen through the door) and noise from the hotel gets in the room.

I stayed on the 2nd floor in room 211.The room has a small suite with a window with a small view to an old wall with a net should be because of the pigeons. The TV is too old so the images the subtitles appear distorted . The breakfast is basic and satisfying. The stairs to climb the floors are a hell because the steps have some tilt which does not offer any safety. Otherwise it is well located and has parking without problems. I recommend the hotel to those who like nostalgic and boring sites and if you want to stay on the lower floors and have windows to the front garden that does not belong to the hotel.
