This is easily the best hotel in Marvao. It's run locally and our room was very clean and comfortable. We were told it was the best room in Marvao, and based on the view and other appointments, that's easy to believe. The location within the city walls makes it a bit tricky to get to, but once you're there, it feels very local and private, especially in the evening when the tour buses leave. The service was very friendly and attentive, breakfast was good, and all in all, this made a great home base for exploring Marvao and the surrounding area.

We have been visiting this hotel for the last forty years and have never been disappointed. It is located in a magical spot at the top of Marvao near the castle. Outside there is free parking. The rooms are beautifully appointed. Room 15 and 17 have views over the surrounding countryside. Comfortable beds. Breakfast is a cold buffet Please note there is no lift and access is not suitable for disabled people. A bar associated with the hotel located across the street that does a limited menu.
