An absolute Gem in Lagos! The hotel is traditional Portuguese style decor. Theres a homey feel as soon as you walk into the hotel. The gardens of the hotel are kept immaculate with beautiful plants and flowers. This hotel is a 10/15 min walk from the old town and a 25/30 min walk from the harbour (but it really doesn’t feel like it). We had a room facing the pool/ garden. The hotel was spotless and the rooms were cleaned everyday. The room was fully air conditioned, which was definitely needed. There was a complimentary bottle of wine, water and coffee pods for the N’espresso machine in the room also. The staff all around the hotel were lovely and really willing to help with anything you needed. Upon checking in the lady on the desk gave us a map with some of the best restaurants and beaches for cliff jumping, swimming etc. The hotel is split into two ‘houses’. We stayed in the guesthouse which was just across a narrow street from the main house (you can walk through or around the main house to get to it) it was very quiet. Just to note that there is no lift/elevator in the guesthouse so you need to be able to carriage luggage up some stairs. The pools are small however we really enjoyed this. For example there were 10 sun loungers around the pool in the guesthouse which were never full. We always got a sun lounger at any time of the day, in fact most days we were at the pool my ourselves. The breakfast in the hotel was top class and there were plenty of hot and cold dishes to choose from. There were often sweet treats that changes each morning (some mornings pastel de nata, strawberry waffles etc.) There is lunch served from 2pm-6pm, we had lunch here one of the days and it was gorgeous. Check out is at 12pm, (checking in) the hotel will store your bags until you’re ready to leave. You can still use the swimming pool and the hotel facilities. And the hotel kindly provided us with towels to use the showers and changing facilities before heading to the airport. Overall great value for money and we definitely hope to return.

This hotel is truly a gem! Small scale and very nicely decorated in Portuguese style. The room is beautiful, is cleaned every day and is fully equipped. The breakfast is really delicious. So much choice: both hot and cold dishes. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is small but adequate for this hotel. Fine sun loungers and you can also order snacks between 14.00 and 18.00. The old town is a 10-15 minute walk away. Here you will find many restaurants, shops and bars. On the day of departure, the check-out time is noon. You can leave your bags in safekeeping at the reception and also use toilet and shower if desired.

We stayed 14 days in this hotel. From arrival to departure, our stay here was very pleasant. An excellent breakfast buffet and very friendly staff. It is a 10-minute walk from the center and about a 30-minute walk from the harbor, where all the boat tours are, and the train station is there as well. A hotel with only 2 floors and castle-like decor. We were very satisfied, and you do not have to walk far for delicious food.
