Hotel Da Aldeia

Do not stay!! Air con not working properly in any of the rooms, no fans available, glass in the pool not cleaned after being reported for three days, the pool in general does not get cleaned (green algae ring and floating rubbish). Reception staff are polite but not helpful when asking for help or filing a complaint, cleaning staff are extremely rude we were refused towels twice because they claimed we had clean ones in room already. Location is the only positive as it’s located in the middle of strip, but not worth staying, absolutely vile!

I had an absolutely awful experience with the hotel. - When I arrived, I had to leave the car a few miles away because the roads are closed. Apparently it is something that happens in the summer from a certain time but there is no indication from the hotel about it. - It's really right in the middle of the bars. Hotel with a lot of new people and who likes excesses. - My biggest problem was actually getting there and realizing that there is no buffet restaurant at dinner, as advertised on the hotel's website. I realize that there are not enough people in the half-pension regime to justify the buffet, but once again, it is something that is communicated in advance. That night I ate at the hotel's regular restaurant and the food is good. It's just not what I reserved. Because of this I refused to stay at the hotel, I talked to my agency and it was possible that they would return me the amount of the reservation, minus the first night. I was also not returned the tourist fee. The sympathy and understanding of the staff made it clear that this should not be the first time.

Absolutely terrible for safety the hotels were grand we were ment to get a hotel room and were placed in 3 apartment per pairs and then 3 days in two off the apartments were broken into with a crowbar and robbed and then another attempted and tonight our final night a man put his head through my bedroom window at half 1 in the morning with a flash like and left after I screamed from seeing him , we moved to our friends apartment who told me prior to me telling them about what happened the same man had been at there sliding door which faces the hotel and as we had moved to our friends apartment I heard a noise at the glass door and the same man was was standing out on the green by the mini golf and ran and hid . We called police and then hung up on us and then the second time we ran and met them by the front off the hotel and spoke to them but they never came to check if he was still around we know that it was not a member off staff as it was the middle of the night the man wore a white top with red on it with possibly a cap on aswell but sense these few incidents we fell very unsafe staying in these apartments we leave tomorrow but for safety purposes we would not recommend you stay in these apartments there are no cameras or security to be seen the “safety “ gate out back cannot be locked which is where our window faces when the man tried to get in the window overall we felt very unsafe for our belongings and our self’s we are happy to be leaving and hope they can improve safety measures especially as it is a location young adults stay year round
