Lovely hotel few rules you have to adhere to, swimming pool small even though says you can’t reserve sun-beds people were! There is an indoor pool but rule you can’t use unless you wear swim cap ? You can hire if you don’t own one again more money. Sunbeds need upgrading very worn. Staff amazing work very hard really polite, friendly full of information. Lots of rules about room no kettle everything you had to hire from reception for a 4* found this a first for us no deal breaker took our own. Breakfast system ok you had to write what you wanted on pre order paper breakfast was good. Ate out so didn’t try evening meal. Our room was no 1 we had massive terrace area overlooking sea with sunbeds & small table chairs the view was stunning rules again couldn’t adjust aircon! Everything had to be picked up off floor and nothing left on bed for cleaners to clean! Don’t leave water running when brushing teeth ? We use bottle water so no issue for us. Just felt as if I had to clean before cleaner came in. The hotel is immaculate but I’m not sure if it’s because you’re apprehensive about all the rules? There are lots of different levels to the hotel lots of steps but I think it wouldn’t really suit if you have mobility issues. There is a lift & ramps but where the hotel is situated on a hill it would be hard going. The old town is a good 10 min down hill coming back up was hard going. We had a lovely holiday outside of hotel but I personally felt to many rules couldn’t relax while in hotel. Would we visit again most definitely but this hotel definitely not for us. As much as it’s old charm is adhering felt as if we couldn’t enjoy its charm such a shame.

My son and I have just returned from a lads week away to this wonderful hotel. We were initially worried that there would be noisy parties or guests but it was quite theopposite, I can honestly say during our whole stay we did not hear athing. The rooms although a little dated were immaculate and everything worked including the TV with BBC1 and 2 as I like to keep up with the news. The staff are great very friendly and caring. we were only on a bed and breakfast basis and the breakfast tick box slip was at first I thought a bit strange but it actually worked very well, I think it is designed to reduce waste and I would imagine it does, you can order more if you require. Checking out is at Midday but their are ample facilities to keep you comfortable during your wait for your pick up. I and my son were genuinly blown away by the genuine friendliness of the staff and I wouldn't hesitate to go back there. As with almost everywhere in Albufeira you will encounter a hill to get to and from the old town, you will quikly discover the short cuts and the walk to town is around ten minutes slightly longer coming back as it's up hill. If we were to pick a fault anywhere with this Hotel it would be the temperature of the swimming pool COLD resulting in not many people in the water. This could be dealt with quite cheaply by installing a Solar Thermal pool heating system that cost nothing to run and utilise the abundant daily sunshine.

Lovely hotel situated in the Old Town Albufeira.
Very welcoming reception on arrival, nothing too much trouble. All the staff were lovely, especially Armen at the lounge bar and Ricardo at the poolside bar.
Will definitely be returning. Thank you all for a lovely stay.
