After reading reviews about after hours arrival problems I contacted the hotel direct and informed reception that I estimated our arrival to be sometime between 11 pm and midnight. The reception said this was OK. Our travel company must have had previous problems as they rang us to say that they had confirmation in writing that the hotel would accommodate our late arrival. At the airport our flight was delayed by an hour, I tried to contact the hotel several times to let them know but could not get through. We arrived at the hotel at midnight, all was in darkness. No one answered the phone and we were banging on the door. Fortunately someone had not locked a side door to the stairwell, we gained access and spent the night on a small couch. At 8am reception staff arrived where we raised our concerns and disappointment only to be told it was not their problem, speak to your travel provider. We are in our late 70s and do not need this sort of treatment. Not only did this cause a great deal of stress but also the discomfort of spending the night on a couch triggered a great deal of physical pain. We also complained about a leaking toilet, this remained leaking for the duration of our two week stay.
After this experience the staff were pleasant, the hotel was basic but kept very clean and is very well situated. Unfortunately we will not be returning.

Bad experience. A few days before our arrival to ask for price and availability, we were greeted by Susanna and another blonde lady, Susanna was very kind showed us a room shame that then a few days later when we arrived definitively we were given another with bath and not shower and insisting there is changed. Susanna was no longer on call in our opinion the thing was due. We complained about not cleaning our room, and we were told we had to tell them (we never happened to any hotel). The reception is always dark and after 5pm it is closed and you enter through another back door. The bar is there but not working. The day of departure the blonde lady chased us to retrieve the key when we had not yet finished emptying the room despite having told her several times but did not even understand English. You could only see one channel on the TV, and despite telling them about it, they were unable to solve the problem. The rooms and furnishings are old 70s and small there is no space to put your suitcases. The staff at the reception never deigns to smile. When you return to this hotel in the evening everything dark makes you very sad. They were very rude to us I would not recommend it. Fortunately we only slept there three nights because despite having told us at the beginning that they had availability for the whole week, after a discussion had the night before the next morning we were told that they had no more availability.... in a nutshell they dumped us but it was better for us. Another note in the room there is no mini bar with the heat of this summer!!!!
There is no bar nearby if in the morning you want to drink a coffee you have to go downtown Lagos. I strongly advise against it.

MOTEL NOT HOTEL! Empty motel, no 24hr concierge- you’re left on your own after 7pm. Zero amenities- forced to carry passports and cash on you at all times as lock box was broken. No functioning kitchen or bar- no real reason to book this place. Ironically this ended up being the most expensive accommodation of our 3 places in Portugal, and was by far the worst. Don’t book here!
