VidaMar Resort Villas Algarve

We have recently returned from a week at the hotel with our 2 kids. Having stayed at nearby hotel last year we knew the area which is ideal for a relaxing family holiday. The hotel has a nice relaxed atmosphere with lovely decor. I wanted to highlight the excellent staff who are friendly and did everything they could to ensure we had a great stay - this was evident from the minute we arrived when we were allocated a ground floor room but had preferred an upper floor room. The staff (Anna I think - sorry memory is failing me :) !) could not have been more helpful in finding a room that suited us. The rooms themselves are good with great storage and enough space for a family of 4 to be comfortable. WiFi in the room was a little temperamental but a very minor point. The breakfast was excellent with a great variety which suited all of us perfectly. The pool areas are great with no stress finding a lounger at any time of the day and the outdoor heated pool being a favourite for the kids! With the beach a short walk away it’s an ideal location. There is a kids club operating throughout the day with various activities and arts room if you want it. The girls running it were so nice and friendly. We found the hotel to be spotless with friendly cleaning staff who were flexible if we were in the room when they came to service it. The surrounding area is quiet so if you are looking for nightlife you need to jump in an Uber but not an issue for us. We like the bar in the foyer which regularly has live music and thought the cocktails were reasonably priced too! Overall we loved our stay and would happily return in the near future!

It is excellent hotel with direct beach - about 50 m. Three pools, deepest 2 m, but other two good for children, one swimming pool inside with warmed water. Meals are excellent- and everyday dinner is different- we had fresh lamb chops, oysters, beef, sea bass. Breakfast as usual in other hotels. Hotel was not full so we had many sunbeds to choose almost everywhere- no fight for every free. Service is much better than described earlier- one time was incomprehension and we did received one cola instead of two. Generally- amazing atmosphere and relax

There are mixed reviews of this hotel so wasn’t sure what to expect. We loved it ❤️ The rooms are spacious, we had a golf view room, area was quiet and easy to relax. The pool is the highlight of this hotel, there are plenty if din beds, no one fighting to put towels down to save a spot, no crazy music, it was just a relaxing break. We only stayed for 4 nights, mini break from the uk. Was about 50 mins from the airport, we arrive a little earlier than the 4 pm checking time but we were given pool cards so we could relax around the pool until the room was ready. The grounds are lovely, and the boardwalk to beach / local area - its a nice way to walk about the area, we walked around the lagoon one morning and back along the beach, an easy 3 mile walk. Local supermarket down the road to get water / cold drinks / beers etc My only niggles for this hotel is that there was no iron in the room, i rang reception to ask for one but only offer ironing service. There is no kettle in room or any teabags / sugar, just coffee machine and pods. At breakfast, we had to get up and ask for tea and coffee, no one approached us, which should be a basic standard when sitting down at your table. We would stay here again - it was definitely a relaxing break, just what we needed
