INATEL Vila Ruiva Hotel ****

Needs improvements in the AC appliances (very noisy) in the showers (little pressure, then the boiling water comes out and then the ice comes out) and in the offer of TV channels, there was no RTP1, as there is nothing to do, the TV at the end of the day makes way

We were assigned room 203. Last night, when we entered the hall of our room, we smelled unpleasant. I called the receptionist who noticed the bad smell, having made room 211 available to us. Apparently, everything was fine in this room . When we just made the room change, an intense smell of tobacco had settled in the new room's toilet. I contacted the receptionist again who also confirmed the smell of tobacco. Only we did not ask again to change room, because it was already 23:30 and the other day we had to leave early. We chose to close the toilet door and the access door to the room. It was a mess at the end of the night, something that never happened to us. Certainly, at least, the smell of tobacco in the room is repetitive, that is, whenever the guest from the next room, smoking in the toilet, the smell of tobacco, invades room 211. LAMENTABLE that the managers responsible for the maintenance of the Hotel do not worry about the well-being of the guests. I showed my disagree in the complaints book, and I will not return to the hotel units of the INATEL.

The location is very good, next to a small Villa with features of a traditional Portuguese village. The views from the hotel are quite picturesque (although some parts are affected this summer by fires). From the outside, it is almost impossible to guess how beautiful the building is inside, which contains a magnificent staircase and a style of broad and bright architecture. The hotel contains various services such as pool (ideal for summer heat), gym (well equipped), library (fresh and overlooking the whole building) and several living spaces (with pool table and table tennis). The staff are very professional, friendly and offer help for those who want to make hiking trails through the Serra, providing maps and information. It is an ideal hotel, both for those who want to use it, and for those who are looking for a place to rest between visits to museums, walks, etc... The rooms are very good and the beds very comfortable. A spectacular place for a great rested holiday. Repeat!
